Minton lecture: employment rules for smaller enterprises
On 2 November 2023, at the invitation of Shanghai Ganwan Business Incubator and under the guidance of the Minhang science and technology innovation service centre and the Minhang employment promotion centre, Minton lawyers Shi Ensou, Luo Tong and Zhou Jiali gave a lecture on the employment problems that small and medium-sized enterprises most often meet. Working through cases and practical steps, they explained the Labor Contract Law and related rules and offered advice on handling disputes during employment. Representatives of many local firms attended.
To help small and medium-sized enterprises bring their employment relations into line with the law and sharpen their awareness of the risks that hiring creates, a legal lecture was held on 2 November 2023. Under the guidance of the Minhang District science and technology innovation service centre and the Minhang District employment promotion centre, and at the invitation of Shanghai Ganwan Business Incubator Co., Ltd., lawyers Shi Ensou, Luo Tong and Zhou Jiali of Shanghai Minton Law Firm spoke on the employment problems such companies most often meet, with the aim of helping them understand and comply with the rules and improve the way they manage their staff.
The lecture was arranged to meet the demand from smaller companies for guidance on employment rules, and lawyers specialising in employment law were invited to explain the relevant provisions to company representatives and to share practical experience of managing staff. Through case analysis and hands-on guidance, the lawyers set out the Labor Contract Law and related rules in plain terms and gave the companies a series of legal suggestions for dealing with problems as they arise in the course of employment.
The event drew representatives from many small and medium-sized enterprises in Minhang District. Those who attended said afterwards that the lecture had given them a fuller understanding of the employment rules and a clear direction for managing their own employment practices.
