Zhu Liliang wins both table tennis titles at the 2024 Shanghai lawyers' tournament
On 13 October, Zhu Liliang of Minton Law Firm won both the men's singles and the men's doubles at the 2024 Shenhao Cup Shanghai Lawyers' Table Tennis Tournament, organised by the Shanghai Bar Association. He came through a hard-fought semi-final and controlled the final to take the singles, then paired with a colleague to win the doubles as well. Colleagues from the firm were there to support him, and he thanked them for the encouragement that let him play at his best.

On 13 October, Zhu Liliang of Minton Law Firm won both the men's singles and the men's doubles at the 2024 Shenhao Cup Shanghai Lawyers' Table Tennis Tournament, organised by the Shanghai Bar Association, with fine technique and determination.
The tournament brought together many strong players. Facing them, Mr Zhu did not hold back but met the challenge with greater resolve. In the singles he came through round after round on the strength of his technique and his composure. The semi-final was close: points went back and forth, every ball was contested and the lead changed hands, but he was not overawed, and his attacking forehand smash, accurate backhand push, flexible changes of tactics and stubborn determination carried him into the final. There he kept pressing, moved his opponent around the table and used his solid fundamentals to take control, winning the men's singles title.
In the men's doubles that followed, Mr Zhu and his partner played with close coordination, combining attack and defence to beat the field again and take the doubles title as well. The double win reflects both his standing in Shanghai lawyers' table tennis and his refusal to give up when the odds are against him.
After the tournament Mr Zhu and colleagues from Minton posed with the runners-up and the third-placed players, all of them visibly delighted: the titles were his, but they were also a source of pride for the firm. In an interview afterwards he said: "Today's win did not come easily. I want to thank my partner and the colleagues at Minton who supported me and cheered me on. It was that support and encouragement that let me play at my best."
