Press conference on the signing ceremony between the Shanghai Equity Exchange and NSX

On 10 February 2015 the Shanghai Equity Exchange signed a strategic cooperation agreement, in the form of a memorandum of understanding, with the National Stock Exchange of Australia, with Shanghai Minton Law Firm acting as the party recommending and assisting the arrangement. Shen Mo, director of the firm, said the day was historic for both exchanges, and the chief executive of NSX, Emlyn Scott, took the same view. The next day technical officers of the two exchanges began detailed discussion of their operations, working through each part of the cooperation; as the free trade zone opens its financial policy further, that cooperation is expected to deepen.

On 10 February 2015 the Shanghai Equity Exchange signed a strategic cooperation agreement, in the form of a memorandum of understanding, with the National Stock Exchange of Australia. As the party recommending and assisting the arrangement, the director of Shanghai Minton Law Firm said: "After a year's effort, it is gratifying to see the Shanghai Equity Exchange sign this strategic cooperation agreement with the National Stock Exchange of Australia (NSX). Talks on strategic cooperation began a year ago, and as they went deeper so did the substance of the cooperation, with high expectations on both sides. As Emlyn Scott, chief executive of NSX, put it, this strategic cooperation is a historic moment for the Shanghai Equity Exchange and for NSX alike."

The day after the agreement was signed, technical officers of the Shanghai Equity Exchange had already begun detailed technical and business discussions with NSX. The two sides went through every part of their respective operations in detail and settled the contents of the various areas of cooperation. As the cooperation deepens and the financial policy of the free trade zone opens up step by step, the scope and depth of that cooperation will also grow.

Shen Mo said: "That the Shanghai Equity Exchange has been the first to cooperate with an international stock exchange fully shows the international strategic vision of its leadership. NSX, the second largest stock exchange in Australia, has a long history and rich experience in supervision, and it is very willing to share that experience with the Shanghai Equity Exchange."
