Shanghai Minton Law Firm marks its sixth anniversary with a celebratory piece in verse and short lines that traces its growth from a small practice to offices in Lujiazui, its work in outbound investment, securities and finance, civil and commercial litigation and criminal defence, and its pro bono and overseas engagements along the Belt and Road. It thanks staff and clients for six years of trust, and restates the firm's aim of being a Chinese boutique practice with the capacity to serve clients across the world.
Step by step, ever forward
A leaping dragon, a soaring phoenix, crossing the sea of clouds; clear and harmonious, the light shines on Minton's hall.
Through starlight and moonlight new ground is opened; disputes are settled by walking the ground oneself.
Great virtue and clear law defend justice; through a thousand heavy waves the sail is set firm.
Six years of glory light the whole world; through vicissitude and wash a splendid chapter is written.
From unsparing toil to the first completion of the hall,
cold and heat came and went, witnessing the glories of Minton's founding;
from the edge of Wusong to the bank of the Huangpu,
as sun rose and moon changed, through wind and rain the colours unfolded.

A mountain nine ren high is not the work of a day. Looking back over the past six years,
the people of Minton, hands joined, advanced together
and achieved striking results: in outbound investment, securities and finance, civil and commercial litigation, criminal defence and other areas of legal service
they went on deepening their work, gathered able people and grew quickly, defending clients' lawful rights and interests with all the skill of the legal profession,
